Two Quakes, Two Media Frames

My heart goes out to Chile as they recover from the hiccups of mother nature who seems to be belching and pooting quite frequently. Let us please get her some acidopholis so she can digest with ease.

Chile is showing the world how to bounce back with actions that say, "We may have fallen homes, but not fallen people."

And it is quite interesting that they are making Western reports swallow the whole "looters" piece, and stating that in hard times, people do survivor shit, and well some just do other shit. Interestingly, this was not they did with Haiti and Katrina.

Ever wonder who takes and picks the images that are shown on the news? I have been comparing the photos between Chile and Haiti and see stark differences. Much of Chile's photos are of damaged structures while Haiti's photos are of damaged people.

Just an observation. Nevertheless, sending love and light to Chile.

I admire the strength of the Chileans...but umm just curious as to why the quake in Chile is not getting near the amt of media attn that Haiti is getting? A freidn brought that to my attn the other day.

At least that got Chile on television, they've been out of the limelight for awhile.
