I Hate My Black Self Award Goes to...

KRISTI WATTS, a reporter for the 700 Club nodded her head in agreement as Pat Robertson claimed that Haitians made a pact with the devil.

This is a prime example of how some black folk allow themselves to be so indoctrinated in religion that they will slaughter their black souls.

She is reminiscent of black folk who believe the White Man lifted their African ancestors from heathanism.

Congratulations Kristi Watts, you hate your black self. Click on photo for a video of Watts.

Hopefully that beautiful sister was thinking to herself that Pat Robertson is one crazy old fucker and nodding her head the moment that she smelled his fresh urine hitting his Depends undergarment. It's a tragic shame that such a beautiful face could be influenced by such absolute nonsense.

She looks like she could use a spanking.

I think is a little unfair to come to these conclusions about the sister, based on what Pat Robertson was saying. She probably had no idea he would say that. Should she have gone off on him? Would it change his opinions? He just an old coot who's always said these kinds of things. I've watched the 700 club and Kristi is that sister girl who can't be contained. She's not fake and doesn't try to be something other than her black self. I've watched her and she's herself as far as I could tell. She's got a job at the 700 Club! How many of us are going to go off on our bosses because they say stupid stuff? And lose her job behind it in this economy? Why not be fair, Organic Intellectual? I'm sure she probably was thinking, What is he saying now?

I say let's put Kristi on blast and ask her for her position on what Pat Robertson said. Send her an open letter email. I'm sure she'll respond. I generally like what I've seen of Kristi until now. If she's in agreement with Robertson, I'm done. Please keep me posted on the outcome.

I do not watch 700 Club and cringe at global missionaries who have a consistent history of playing an integral part of raping countries around the world. I watched the tape and unfortunately Western Christianity has been very anti-Haiti to validate the pilfory. And since this posting there has not been a word from Kristi speaking against this statement, and I am sure there will not be. FAIR is not even a word in media nor in religion. It is very biased. It has to be in order to create a so-called division of what religion is better than the other. I will leave with a quote from Marx, "Religion is the opiate of the masses."

Hello Eco Soul. I dont agree with any entity that has a history of raping any people. "Western Christianity" has a history, that's for sure. Religion period, is the construct of weak man, and has nothing to do with the true and Living God! I don't think that Kristi's going to make the kind of statement that some may feel she ought to. The thing about it is that we folks tend to put too much stock in these folks like Pat Robertson, or Rush Limbaugh or the rest of these people we keep watching. He has no bearing on my life, so what he thinks is of no importance, really. If Kristi repudiates Pat's statement, will it matter to the world? No. Some people will feel better, though. Christianity is much bigger than Pat Robertson, and those like him. It's unfortunate but those making a stink are the ones the media showcase. Many Christians are busy working and doing their part to help people in need everywhere. These people are not shown on CNN, the opiate of choice for many! Or maybe the ecstacy of choice is a better statement. We know that these organizations don't have Haitians best interests in mind, nor any black folks, really, yet we go back again and again, sucking at the teat of CNN, MSNBC and FOX, then we get mad at them when we get indigestion! We're forever waiting for validation from the very ones who will NEVER validate us. I liken it to waiting by the phone for that playa boyfriend who aint neva gon call! I say let Kristi have her 700 Club job! She can't help me or the people of Haiti by anything she can ever say!
Black folks arent monolithic and dont see the world through the same lens. We are a global nation with many many many views on the things of this world. Now people like Pat Robertson expect everyone to see things as he sees them, and it's ironic that any of us would expect that as well. I agree with your Karl Marx quote "religion is the opiate of the masses" but for those of us who follow the Living God, we don't need any opiates!
I think we folks should be very careful of who we skewer without having all the facts, lest we do their job to us for them! It's all divide and conquer, and it's very subtle! Check it! (sorry for the length of this post!)

I did see the report and I cannot say if Kristy nodded in agreement, I thought she stood very still and was trying to keep it all together. If she had said anything it would have not made it on the show, anyway. I agree with Anna give her a break.
PS I did write the 700 Club an angry letter. I wasn't just outraged by the Haitian Pact with the Devil statement, but does that mean the slave traders were working with God. I got the answer you see on their website. With no comment about what was guiding the slave traders. Racism is alive and well in the hearts and minds of the leaders of the 700 Club.
